I splurged and bought several Iroha from ILLIT photocards the other day and it reminded me that i was going to write something about k-pop, but i forgot what so...i'm going to be just rambling. fun fact this was my first time buying photocards. after all the years i've been a k-pop fan i've never been able to collect photocards and what-not because..i had no money lol. All the photocards i own have been strictly pulled from albums i've accumulated. Lowkey i wanna get into collecting and trading. The most recent album i bought was bomb by ILLIT and it was overpriced, but I have no regrets.

Okay I kinda remember what I wanted to write about now uhh. When it comes to liking and stanning groups concept and music are the most important parts to me. And right now- and i'm trying so hard ok- it's hard for me to like music and groups. And I don't want to come off as one of those annoying older fans whos only hobby is complaining about anything new in k-pop. Also, I don't mean to say that I just don't like 5th gen groups because there ARE groups I enjoy and listen to. I'm just saying like...it's hard times. Even with many 4th and even 3rd gen groups i've followed along and listened to, seeing shifts in concept and most importantly music (that aren't either executed well or are just...bad) is hard T_T These shifts aren't surprising to me though. I understand that all groups change and evolve with time (...and money). However it still makes me a bit sad/disapointed. Groups that come to mind are ATEEZ, TXT, Stray Kids, i-dle, BTS. Maybe Seventeen.

The only "new" boy group that I would consider myself a fan of is NCT WISH, but only really for their good concept cause i'll be honest i just can't listen to most of their songs. I've noticed that I most new groups I like tend to be girl groups. Not because they are immune any qualities i've talked about, but because IN GENERAL the music is more interesting to me. A lot of newer k-pop songs tend to follow that same kind of formula or it's...not good. It's like "you can listen to the same song 100 times or the worst fucking music you've heard in your life"

i feel like i was going to write something else i forgot again. Anyways, I just need to get this off my chest. Also some newer groups seem so evil. Not even the members, but the fans and i'm talking about RIIZE. Also that fuck-ass All Day Project group i'm not falling for the propoganda. the racism is so embarrassing omfggggg.

okay i feel like i've complained a lot so on the brighter side there's actually been many good music releases. 'Surf' by NCT WISH has become my favorite song from them. Along with their new mini-album COLOR. I've been really enjoying this comeback! ILLIT also have a new japanese song which is pretty good. They do j-pop and japanese releases well! When many k-pop groups do japanese releases or comebacks it just sounds like they made a normal k-pop song and lazily translated the lyrics. No attempt at j-pop style most of the time. This a kinda late, but D.O released a full album in July. Though he could sing anything and it would sound right. Many idols have gone on tour as well! A lot of my mutuals saw ATEEZ and KAI. Oh my god my biggest regret was not seeing Baekhyun i'm so stupid. I can only hope that EXO goes on a world tour or something...when they comeback next year which I predict they will. If they do I can see my beautiful wife Xiumin...
